Swipe to Delete with Exchange Gmail and iOS

The most frustrating feature of using Exchange Gmail with the iOS mail client is not having the ability to swipe and trash an email, instead it will archive – a real annoyance at times.
However, it seems that this feature has now been implemented (albeit rather discretely by Google) via the device settings pane at http://m.google.com/sync
I’m not sure exactly when this feature became active but I’m thankful it has and its one more reason for me not to use a 3rd party iOS Gmail client any time soon.
Where can I find these settings on my iPhone/iPad?
